USQuail's Coturnix 1 was developed from a formulation used by one of Japan's top Coturnix Quail Breeder. We have taken this formula and have local Non-GMO Feed Mills Manufacture this for USQuail. We hope to create a Network of these small Family Owners Feed mills though-out the country to allow all USQuail Coopertive Members to sell this product, avoiding the larger "commercially packaged" retail store brands that often cut corners. For example: Did you know that it is detrimental to give Medicated Feed to a day - week old chick while they are still receiving the benefits of the natural immunity passed along within the egg? It's Cheaper to sell "medicated crumbles" (as many lower protein store brands boast) but it is not Ideal. The correct way to introduce prophylactic medication is a 5 days, after the natural benefits wane... Think Colostrum from mothers milk vs baby formula.
Coturnix 1 comes in a 25 lb reusable Starter Bucket (5 gal) for $25, or in a $50/lb refill feed sack. Local Pickup in Eastern PA Only.
